Here's how it works:
Download the app and register. For best results, turn on Location Services and set to Always.
Start earning miles automatically:
Once registered, you do not need to do anything else. You will now start earning miles for every trip (from point A to B) you take. You are not required to log your trips, nor open the app before, during or after the trip. Earning of miles is truly automatic!
Earn bonus miles:
There are plenty of ways to earn bonus miles in the app. Earn bonus miles for
• Carpooling (2x), using transits - train, bus, boat/ferry (3x), biking (5x) or simply walking and running (10x)
• Tier upgrades
• Anniversaries with Miles
Redeem Miles in-app:
You can redeem miles for any of the exclusive rewards in the app. You can use the rewards instantly or at a later date. You will find rewards that can be used online or at a physical location from merchants across the following categories:

Shows great potential
Not all of my trips are recognized as such, but I’m fine with that.
Redemption options are limited; I wish I could repeatedly claim the same reward, because I don’t have any use for many of the options. I’m not in it for the money.
The algorithm that decides what mode I used on a particular trip is still in development. For example, when I travel down rail corridors, it typically assumes I drove there. When I cycle down a bike trail, even when that trail is not near a road, it thinks I drove. Recently, the sub-mode choices for rail trips do not offer Amtrak as an option. And finally, it does not differentiate between modes if you change quickly from one to another. I will select the most accurate mode when this occurs, trying not to take advantage of the shortfalls of the software.
In any event, the program is growing and shows a lot of promise. I’ll stick with it and see how it shapes up.

The App Itself is Awesome
I rate it 3 stars because I have over 5,000 miles just sitting in my account with no use. Most of the rewards offered are either unappealing to me, or located across the country. When it was first released there was a 5 dollar Starbucks reward that was awesome. I used it when it was there, but now that it’s gone there is nothing I want to spend my miles on. It’s to the point where I have turned off location services for the app to conserve battery. Why save all these miles when there is nothing to redeem them for? I will say the app works as advertised, when I first signed up I received my bonus miles, it also always awards me the miles I have earned. Three stars instead of five for lack of reward options.
Thank you for the feedback and we hear you loud and clear, gift cards are a big favorite and we understand and are aware of this. As we continue to grow and expand our partnerships, we will find ways to make these available.
Our miles do not expire so please reconsider some of the options we have, which most are higher in value than the $5 gift cards, or keep stocking up on miles to redeem for rewards later on.

Edit 7/27: looks like they are fixing some of the issues, so problems are slowly getting worked out. One of my past trips finally showed up. Hoping to see the app continue to improve. Still haven’t heard from customer support other than here in the reviews. Also, still haven’t received the other 500 miles I was missing from sign-up.
Edit 10/01: app has much improved since the launch back in July. Tracks my miles and no more errors/crashing. Rewards are not as good now, which is why my rating isn’t higher. It’s a shame, wish they had kept the $5 gift cards, maybe raise the “price” so they aren’t as easy to redeem? I don’t consider signing up for a subscription a reward.
Update 10/2: We are glad to know that you have had a smoother experience with our app. Although gift cards are not available at this time, we do plan to find new and exciting ways to be able to surprise and delight our users and gift cards will surely be there in the mix! Also, thank you for the great feedback regarding how we could make the gift cards available with a different pricing, we will surely look into this as and find the best way to implement the gift cards for you all in the future.
