Great app! ***** (5 stars)
Version 4.1.1, August 15th 2017
I was amazed by the quality of this app, easy to setup & the test takes only 6mins. The developers should be proud of their work!

Exceptionally useful ***** (5 stars)
Version - 4.2 - Sep 29th, 2017
Mimi technologies have been a godsend to me. The latest hearing test is of professional standard (and I’ve had a few in my time). The result when listening through my headphones is miraculous as the test is then imported into the Mimi music app.
I am profoundly grateful for the service these apps have been to me.

I think I just don’t understand it

One result says my hearing is perfect, another says I hear worse than 71% of my peers. Huh? I have moderate hearing loss in my left ear, minor in the right. My left ear has the typical “J” graph of Meniere’s disease in the audiologist’s office, but flat line with this app. I guess it’s due to the fact that I don’t have Apple earbuds - but there’s a very good reason for that. Those things are frackin’ huge and don’t fit in my ears. But I would think that would skew the results to show my hearing is worse than it is, not better.

Developer Response

Hi there! Great question. The age comparrison is based on people with your year of birth. The hearing grade is currently calculated to your better ear, based on world health standards. However we are looking into a design solution for this!

Simle, easy, accurate

Find a very, very quiet place. The app will tell you whether or not it’s quiet enough. Also, it seems best to use Apples own earbuds if you have them, because the app is calibrated for them. For the best accuracy, take a small brush, like a toothbrush, and brush off all of the openings in the air buds (they collect wax, etc.).

High quality app

Denis da menis

I tried the Siemens app first and it was finished in a very brief time period. The result was vague and of no real value. This app took a full 6 minutes or so and was very easy to perform. The results were detailed and have given me good information so that I may plan for a rather large expense. Thank you.
