MindShift is an app designed to help teens and young adults cope with anxiety. It can help you change how you think about anxiety. Rather than trying to avoid anxiety, you can make an important shift and face it.
MindShift will help you learn how to relax, develop more helpful ways of thinking, and identify active steps that will help you take charge of your anxiety. This app includes strategies to deal with everyday anxiety, as well as specific tools to tackle:

What's New in Version 1.22
Fixed a problem with password protection.
I struck gold finding this app. I've been searching for an app that helped prevent and manage anxiety, NOT to induce more stress and anguish, with little or no financial cost. MindShift is like a goldmine of resources with simple exercises one can easily implement into their daily routines to cope with the ups and downs of life's roller coaster ride. It's a treasure trove of easily accessible, sound and practical advice from mental health professionals. It seems like having a therapist on 24-hr duty to help guide me in the way I respond to potential anxiety triggers. What I find truly valuable in this app is the fact that it provides users a platform to express what goes on in the scary recesses of the mind, allowing users to articulate and work through personal issues privately at their own discretion anytime and anywhere.
Grateful for this app
This is a great app with a very simple user interface that's easy to use and understand. The methods and lessons it has taught me were not intimidating or tedious to get started and I am now actually able to practice what I learned here in my everyday life without even thinking about it anymore. Things are starting to look up when before they only ever looked down.
Wonderful and free
Like Smiling Mind this app is helpful and free. My only hope is that it never succumbs to the subscription model that many opportunistic devs have adopted.
I have noticed one issue though: When listening to a recording and the phone goes into autolock, it stops playing. Please fix this as I have had to break sessions and start again where it left off (the recording stops altogether, so pressing play just starts at the beginning).
