Best Hacker News App
This is the best way to read Hacker News on an iPad for me. You can interact like normal with the site, including commenting, and voting (without worrying about accidentally hitting the tiny down arrow instead of the tiny up arrow). It also has a good automatic night mode that switches to white text on black when the ambient light is low, and you can change the font size and collapse threads.
Whenever The Hacker News site changes, the author of this app fixes the problem within a day or two, and doesn't charge for a new version.
Easily the best HN app
Now that the readability issue with downvoted comments has been fixed, this app is basically perfect. Much better than any other HN app, and I say this after trying, like, all of them. It's fast and responsive, customizable, and has all the features I could want. Easily worth the $1.99 and then some.
Worth paying for
I tried all the free ones, but they didn't work well. This one does, worth paying for. The core functionality all works, though it would be nice to have things like opening links in Chrome.
