Handy for Food and Shopping
This app is helpful for finding food and shopping but is lacking a location finder category. I'd like an additional category where you could simply type in services, such as "ATM" or "First Aid" or "Sports Building" or "Horse Barn" and have the app show you on a map the location of these services or buildings. If you can spend money on it, the app will take you there, but if you want to find a location, you're on your own. Also, the home screen doesn't offer anything of substance, so why not offer something useful there, like make that the map of the grounds showing your current location or the day's grandstand schedule or buttons to take you to helpful links (locations of 10 most popular food items for example) anything other than just a picture. Additionally, make the button at the far, far bottom of the page that says "show fair map" higher up the page or five times bigger. It's like you're hiding it. Even better, show the map in the large blank space between the item description and the tiny little "show fair map" button. Since I'm searching for it, it's a pretty sure bet showing me where it is will be useful to me, so why not show it as a part of the result instead of making me click another button?
Extremely helpful and works awesome! Highly recommend for next year! Way easier than a paper map! Never crashed, gps always worked!
Worked great for me! Since I had reviewed merchants & food vendors, "favoriting" those I was interested in, displaying the starred entries showed approximate distance from current location.
