What's New in Version 5.18.0
Thanks for using Mint! To improve your experience we update the app regularly.

First, THIS APP RUNS HOT! Never used to, but the last month or so, hot as hell! Constantly sends emails for you to pay bills that are already sent, so it seems they don’t even check to see if you paid it. The whole interface is lacking and so confusing. Way too much emphasis on investing, etc., and not on bill paying or bills in general. Can’t handle many different types of signing in message for many different accounts, and after months of trying to fix it with a workaround, it just never happens and the canned responses emails begin again. Often the app doesn’t even update things for about three days, when the individual accounts on their own websites have already updated. One time I got an email for a Chase credit card and instead of even saying the name of it in the email to tell me what was due, it just had a series of numbers and said “account” and I was supposed to know what that was I guess. It apparently wasn’t pulling in the correct fields any longer. It’s just so terrible around that the only reason I still have it is because there aren’t many financial aggregate apps out there yet and it doesn’t have any serious competition….. yet. The minute it does, this app will be gone.
Can’t rely on it updating correctly.
I use Mint to see where I am financially at a glance. Love that it does all the work to give me a net worth number. However it repeatedly has issues with accounts where it may not work for weeks until they come up with a fix. Recently one of my accounts instituted a 2 step verification system. Tried working with support but you never get a reply from the same person and have to re-explain the problem over and over. They just keep using canned replies that don’t really apply. Finally after almost a month they got it fixed. Only to have the next update of the app break it again days later. Still can’t update in the app and have to log onto a PC and use the Web version to update.
It also should allow you to put in securities not in a brokerage account. I have two stocks for which I have actual paper stock certificates and would like to be able to put in the ticker number and the number of shares and have it keep track of the value.
Was a great program years ago but just isn’t reliable enough to keep using.
Love this app, only wish I could budget ahead.
This app has made it so easy to stay on budget and reach my financial goals. It allows my wife and I to stay on track and coordinates our spending so we don't go over budget. It would be 5 stars if it allowed me to budget for the month ahead.
Update, I have now been using this app for almost 2 years, and am still waiting to be able to budget for the month ahead. It would be really nice to be able to plan spending for next month, while still being able to track spending for this month. I am currently planning next months spending on paper, then adjusting the budgets on the first of each month on the website. It would make everything much easier and bring this app up to 5 stars if I didn’t have to plan ahead on paper.
