PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence) is the first scientifically backed activity metric that guides you to better health. PAI takes your personal profile and heart rate data and translates it into a PAI score based on your last 7 days of activity. The goal of maintaining 100 PAI or more is ideal for maximum health benefits and protection from cardiovascular disease.

Because PAI is based on heart rate, it tracks all kinds of exercise – more than steps.

• It’s Simple: All you need to do is track a single metric that makes sense of your heart rate and keeps you on the path to good health.

• It’s Motivating: Encourages you to push yourself more and exercise more regularly.

• It’s Scientific: Research has shown that maintaining a PAI score of 100 or above can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease by up to 25% and extend lives by an average of 5 years.

• It’s Personalized: It’s appropriate for all fitness levels, and it adapts as you progress.

Apple Watch Support:
• Start a PAI activity from your wrist with Apple Watch.
• Apple Health integration to read heart rate, calories, steps and distance during PAI activity sessions.

Doesn't work most of the time

My watch died and when it can back on, all my info was erased. I had to start all over. And what's really bad about it is that the app does not store information past a week which is useless. There's no way to see your trends or monthly averages. You also can't see the culmination of calories burned, workout durations or anything. I'm trying to figure out what the point is. And honestly, half the time my watch doesn't even work. I have gone 30 minutes into a high Intensity workout and it still shows 0 pai. The following day I can do the same routine and it has me at 20 pai. There is no consistency whatsoever which makes the device useless.

Promising ... but ....

The PAI concept is really good and promising. But the app fails with the below:
1) I was under the impression that there already is an Apple Watch app from a a page I landed on which says it is from their lead developer. Finding out that it does not, I bought the Mio slice right away.
2) After pairing, I found out that the data from the Slice only syncs with Mio PAI app and not to Apple’s Healthkit. That means, all the data (heart rate, sleep stats, distance walked, step count, etc) are only available in their app. It defeats the purpose of having the Apple Health dashboard where you can see an overview of all your activities and health stats.
3) You can only view data for the past 7 days. No archive whatsoever.

Okay app

Pros: My favorite things about the app is the chart of your heart rate throughout the day. Also keeping a record of the amount of sleep and which stages of sleep you slept in were pretty cool.

Cons: My biggest issue with the app is that it can only keep 7 days worth of data. I kinda wish it could keep a permanent record of everything even if the data had to be moved to an Archived tab or something. Also the Home tab I don’t find very useful. Other than the amount left on the battery, all the other data can be found on the Slice itself. I spend most of my time on the Day Details tab.
