The miSecureMessages app provides secure messaging and paging services. miSecureMessages enables hospitals, large organizations and small groups to meet HIPAA and HITECH security guidelines for sending protected health information (PHI).
miSecureMessages secures PHI by protecting access with a configurable passcode, encrypting the transmission of data, not storing data on the phone or tablet, and allowing the remote disabling of a device in the event a user’s device is lost or stolen. miSecureMessages enables sending encrypted messages from device to device, from the secure web interface, and from console applications. A customizable alert notifies a user when a message is received, and it persists until the message is read. The miSecureMessages attachment feature enables users to send and receive audio, video, photos and images, and PDF files while retaining the original file format.
miSecureMessages is available as an on-site and cloud-based solution, and works on both WiFi and 3G/4G networks to ensure communication is never lost. miSecureMessages seamlessly integrates with Amtelco’s On-Call Scheduling solution enabling HIPAA and HITECH compliant messages to be sent to the proper staff at the scheduled times.

Disappointing, has potential
What’s most disappointing is poor integration
With Apple Watch.
It will sometimes appear on the watch, but there should be some mechanism to make it consistent; there should be some feature to allow it to still sound the alarm On the iPhone,
When the watch is set to silent.
Without this feature, A late night call or page,
Can be easily missed.
There should also be a feature to Select the ability to have the alarm sound to register
A “page” when the phone is set on the silent ringer. Similar to the alarm clock on
Truly miss makes me miss the convenience of having a beeper, there is always reliable.
There are also times that even with good Wi-Fi, when there is poor phone access, that the app is not reliable.
I do like the ability to see details and transmit information back to the service but this could be far more robust

When is it going to be more Apple Watch friendly?
One of the reasons I got the Apple Watch with the phone capability is so that I can be on call and I don’t have to run with my phone, nor always have my phone on me when I’m on call. Now, thanks to my company switching to your messaging service, I am no longer able to do that. I heard it’s in the works and would appreciate that process being expedited.
Piece of junk
I’ve deleted it and reloaded it several times, the last few months, no one around on weekends to fix problems, the answering service is just calling me on my phone to get through. So much for HIPPA.
I send messages about pts who call, to PCPs, they don’t apparently get them. It will seem to work for a while, then not work. Might be updates. It sends multiple messages on same pt one after another within a few minutes.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
