Time Mysteries 3: The Final Enigma 12+

It is a good game: the story is good, the graphics are very good, the puzzles are good and the hidden objects were fairly easy to find. I rated it as a four mainly because I thought the ending round was not as good as the start of the game. It lost steam and Merlin in a crystal ball was hokey, as was the “Happily ever after” at the end. And because the puzzles could have been a bit harder, and the hidden objects a bit more hidden. Merlin’s time travel doors could have had a “guess which door” approach because a wild goose chase through the wrong door would have increased the difficulty and made it more challenging. I did enjoy it, however.

I loved it. It’s not for those who want their hand held throughout the game. You do have to think through the Ambrose family story to figure where to go next and how to solve each progression. However, if one is really stuck, one can always used the time machine to point to the direction(s) that need progress. The only puzzle, I gave up on was the rune mini-puzzle. That was a bit much for me. Even when I found the solution on the internet, I couldn’t get it to work right. There was no reset allowed for this one. I even attempted marking down which buttons turned on which of the 8 runes, but couldn’t solve it. I liked it anyway. The hint button is rarely used and I only used it when I couldn’t figure out what to do with a mini-game. Then it gave a brief description. That helped tremendously. Past, present and future was grand - even the added story at the end was rocking. I’ll play this again. Took me quite a while to complete it, but worth the time and definitely worth the price. And yeah, Esther rocks!

It's a good game, fantastic graphics. I played part 2 and liked it - especially because the hidden objects and mini-games were so challenging. Part 3 mini's and hidden objects were way too easy. Should have been just as challenging or more so!!! Regardless, Artifex Mundi is way cool!!!!
