Mixel - Collage & Photo Frame
By Lascaux Co.
This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
Version 2.0 of Mixel sports a brand new interface, and is laser-focused on letting you be as creative as possible. We've done away with the logins and accounts, so nothing gets in your way. Just open up the app and add a few photos (from Instagram, Facebook, your phone, or -- new feature!! -- album covers from your music library). Then tap shuffle and Mixel turns them into a beautiful collage. You're done!
Everything you make is stored in Mixel's totally private Gallery, right in the app. Of course you can share your mixels too; the new square canvas format is ideal for sending what you make to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, or you can send your collages as real world postcards with a tap of the button.
- The EASIEST, FASTEST collage and framing app for your photos anywhere
- Choose from nine beautiful styles for your collages
- Add pictures from Facebook, Instagram or your iPhone
- New! Add album covers from your Music app!
- Built-in camera lets you take multiple pictures at once!

Just hoping the developer came to their senses... Nope.
What were the devs thinking that convinced them that these series of changes would be a good idea???
At this point, I'm blown away and frankly awestruck at how someone could turn something so ground-breakingly BRILLIANT into utter CRAP - in just 2 or 3 updates no less!
Firstly, the mixels-for-purchase idea is a bit premature, considering it WAS a fledgling social app, not to mention the fact that they don't seem worth the money. Any price is overpriced here.
Worst of all, I've seen mixel go from awesome (1.0 iPad version), to mediocre (iPhone 2.0 version), to simply crappy.
I remained loyal to mixel only because of the social network I had created in the first version, and without that aspect, I may as well be using Diptic or Magicframe or dozens of other apps
(CHEAPER and BETTER apps, btw!), but with less features!
Boo, Devs! What are you guys thinking???
(Perhaps you could regain some lost profit with a book release in Financial Mgmt 101; "How To Quickly and Efficiently Run A Company into the Ground in a Highly Lucrative and Thriving iOS Environment"). Hmm.
This WAS my Fac photo app.. Now I can't view any friends mixels- I've emailed support for a website to view and no reply in weeks! Yet over 1000 like daily. From where?
You had the best app out there and decided to &$#% it all up for everyone!
You had currently held 4.5 stars and now 1.5. Deciding to go back to the original format could make your app successful again..
Those if us that has made this app successful and fun before with our mixels- you really think we would consider paying for a useless app.. I'm deleting this app.. In search for app support that cares about its users
New upgrade ruined the app
This is not just a resistance to change. I loved the Mixel community, rectangular pics and overall user flow a LOT better in the old version. It was very intuitive and unique.
New upgrade stripped all of those options AND conformed to an "Instagram-like" photo size. If I wanted to use Instagram, I would. I was using Mixel to STAND OUT from the rest of the Instagram crowd. Now there is no difference, and, therefore, no point to use Mixel.
I will be deleting this app, as it provides NOTHING I don't already have with Instagram and other photo apps.
