What's New in Version 8.6.2
· General Improvements
Used this for years primarily for quick W/L and news on my teams. Keeps me following baseball. You know, as a lifelong fan of the game. MLB has an attitude and strategy now to SQUEEZE every dime they can., up and down the line. Post season ball games not broadcast, for instance. In the past week as we approach the allstar break this app has suddenly started popping up full page ads and when X'd off they rise seconds later, zombie like. Repeatedly. The greedy brastards have almost made me hit the delete app button. They will soon, as they attempt to levy coin from each and every aspect of our national pastime.
Interesting- the intolerable full screen zombie ad's have reverted back to bar/banner ad's. Ridiculous attempt discarded for now. Changing rating up. Thank you MLB. Now broadcast the post season.
Edit 2: I was wrong. Five times a full page 'tourist zone' ad swallowed the page as I attempted to read a short article. That's it. I'm deleting it now after years of ad revenue MLB has generated from this fan. Chiselers!
Postseason chiseling again. Trying to follow with gameday section. Now in order to see anything before the World Series would require me to enter TWO YEAR contract with Comcast. This is the time of year the casual fans get interested. My teams are out- she make it difficult for me and the casual fans watch NFL games. And ad's.
Good app but a data killer
First of all I like this app very much. I like that I can get the games for both video and radio and that I can get them from my home teams announcers. I have one problem and it might be a minor want to some of you but it's a huge problem for me. I work midnights and have to drive around most of the time. The way the app is set up I can view games after they've aired but that is a data killer. It would be really great if the app allowed me to download an already aired game either by video or by radio (since I am driving) so that I could play it while I'm at work without having to stream it.
GREAT but some flaws...
This app is great to catch up to the latest MLB news and your favorite team, although it has some problems. It really burns through data but if your carrier is T-Mobile you get free membership. This includes being able to listen to the broadcast of any game. But as I said, this destroys your data plan. Also, I have a problem with the amount of notifications it sends you. I live in the east so it's annoying to have the Dodgers and The Giants notifications keep you up all night. I suggest turning the push notifications off.
