The best RSS app for iPad (that's not Flipboard)
I think this app does a REALLY good job in recreating a Google Reader style RSS experience. There are a few things here and there that feel a little clunky but over all it's a pretty decent experience. I think some of the navigational buttons, such as the /\ \/ previous/next story button would feel a lot better if they had a larger footprint, as it is now, the are tiny little buttons. Also if you could choose what side it was on, ( I'd personally like the option to be able to quickly click the next/previous on the right edge of the screen ).
Flipboard is an awesome app for magazine/news/photo heavy experience.
MobileRSS is an almost spot on recreation of the Google Reader experience, which seems somewhat suited for more personal blog style content.
Great RSS app
I love the layout of this app. It is clean but organized. It syncs with my Google account quickly, without missing any feeds or categories. It is also easy to browse through my categories, share with links, email, etc., and open up feeds on the web browser. I haven't tried it in offline mode yet, but a lot of the feeds I follow would not allow that anyway, to my knowledge. Only thing that bothers me is that sometimes it freezes up or crashes. This has happened once or twice in a couple of days' use, but is not too annoying given the rest of the experience with the app. The ads are minimal too, which is nice, given that this is a free app. I might upgrade to the paid version, but right now this is just fine for me. UPDATE: the app no longer works on iOS6.
Great reader typically
I gave this review five stars bc I don't want it to reflect how I would normally rate it!! Which is 5 stars!!!
Like many of the reviews below I have been having an issue ever since the update to ios5. When I am scrolling, the screen will randomly disappear and go to a page hosted by the company providing my wifi, and in the search box, this appears: GRWebviewTouchEnd downloadButton
I can't handle not being able to read my google reader so i downloaded some other reader apps to get me by until this was fixed, but quite frankly, they are junk!! Please fix!!!!
