Mochi is a local, anonymous, LGBT+ social network.
Post anonymously to your local community. The quiet introvert has as much say as the popular extrovert. You can say what you want and won't be judged for it!
Local matters. Being part of an accepting community is what makes us feel connected. Inside jokes, local news and events... what's better than that?
With anonymity comes a lot of responsibility! Our system highly encourages positive interactions, and offers tools like blocking and reporting if a bad egg slips through the cracks.
Without playing to stereotypes, LGBT people are some of the funniest and creative people we've ever met. Come and join the community!
Chat publicly to a lot of users, or, chat privately 1-on-1 while maintaining anonymity. Share experiences, advice, and maybe make a friend in the process.
Using the upvote system users can decide which posts should be seen by more people, and which posts seen by less.
Thanks for using Mochi! To make our app better for you, we bring updates to the App Store regularly.
In this version we address:
- Bug fixes
- Gender identity options
- Performance issues
- Post sorting in "Hot"
Thank you for the incredible support :)

Great concept, just needs a few UI improvements
The app is pretty cool! I know it’s only worldwide for the moment but once it goes local it would be great if there is still a way to interface with LGBT+ people from around the world.
In terms of improvements, when you go to comment on some one else’s comment the UI doesn’t make it super clear that you are doing that. I often find myself second guessing whether I am commenting on the original post or it’s comment.
Finally when you are private messaging and the keyboard pops up, the messages don’t move. That means when you are typing you are looking at half of the last message. If the messages moved up so the last message sent/received was above the keyboard like in iMessage that would be fantastic.
I love this app so much! It has really helped me come to terms with and accept my sexuality. I didn’t really have anyone to talk to because I haven’t really come out to anyone in my family yet. Mochi lets me talk to people who are going through the same thing as me. I would give it 5 stars, but I’m kind of annoyed that it is only the worldwide server. But I can’t wait for it to improve! Also, if you could add a “reset password” button in the next update, that would be awesome!
For once, I have hope that there is an app that can truly avoid the inevitable conversion of hook-up culture. This app is amazing and I’m looking forward to seeing it evolve to something even better! To the creator(s?), thank you for giving this to us!
