Thank you for your patience and please accept our apologies for the wait.
Fanstastic for the price, could use minor changes, but great game nonetheless.
I was skeptical of getting this game because of it's price. I've learned the hard way that most of the time, you get what you pay for. After getting a couple of rounds of Team Deathmatch in, I can say I really love this game!
Gameplay: 5 Stars
It runs quite well on my 2010 Mac mini w/ SSD and 8GB RAM. No lag, no choppy graphics. I have yet to have a skip, or death due to a graphical error. I will mention one 'glitch' I am experiencing, though. Right after dying and re-purchasing guns/ammo/etc, sometimes after I spawn my character is randomly aiming at the sky, and it is not of my doing. Of course once I spawn I can simply move the mouse to make my character look back ahead, but it could be frustrating if I was to spawn near enemy players, without a chance of even seeing them before they shoot me down.
The Game Itself: 4 Stars
I really don't like the whole buy a gun after each death type of gameplay. I personally, and I'm sure others, would prefer that you start off with a minimal set up regardless of points, and then after gathering points gain the oppurtunity to buy better weaponry. After dying, buying the same gun you just had is a bit nerve racking.
Overall, this is a great game for those of us who currently play, or have played any of the Call of Duty series of games. I'd recommend it to all fellow Mac users who love a good FPS every now and then.
Fun, but needs a little work
Alright so this game is really fun to play, but it does need some work.
First, what really gets on my nerves are the bots. I know they're really stupid in some areas (such as standing still in the open, even when they're getting shot at), but in the other areas they are really overpowered. What I noticed is that they shoot pistols and shotguns impossibly fast (4 shots in a quarter of a second), a way that no matter how fast you click the mouse you can't shoot as fast as that. It's definately a problem when the pistol kills in 4 shots, and they can snipe you with the shotgun. Also adding to the problem is that they always aim for the head, and instantly shoot you the second you both walk around the corner.
The other thing I'm not too sure of is the randomization when shooting. I don't think it should still be random when aiming down (yes, I know it still makes it more accurate). I think that you should add recoil to the gun when aiming down, so then you can make the bullets go to the exact spot you're aiming at and not just keep it random all the time. I mean you did this with the other Modern Combats, so why not this one?
Overall it's still a fun game. Great graphics, great sounds, and great guns. Hope to expect more from you guys!
Awesome game for an awesome price
First of all, no, this is not a Call of Duty killer (so to speak).
But it is really good nevertheless.
I want to go ahead and say that I bought this game for $0.99. It has solid graphics, and plays very smoothly (that is, no slowdown whatsoever) on my 2011 mid-range iMac.
It does have a great online multiplayer mode, which will throw you into games quickly and efficiently. My only complaint about the online mode is that there aren't always many people playing online. Which means that the team that has the most AI bots will assuredly lose, since the AI is horribly easy.
You earn money throughout the match, and this allows you to buy more stuff on your next respawn. The idea is a good one, but not great. You can save up for a sweet load out and get gunned down seconds later; then you're back to square one!
The leveling system isn't too bad. You earn experience every match and "level up," as well as unlock new weapons and armor. I would have loved to see abilities like you have in CoD, rewarding players for kill streaks and other feats.
They say you get what you pay for. In this case, I got a whole lot more than what I paid for it! I highly recommend this game, and look forward to gunning you down online!
