Mole Mapper Melanoma Study
This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
MoleMapper™ is a personalized tool to help you map, measure, and monitor the moles on your skin. Using a familiar Maps-like interface, you can measure the size of a mole using the camera and a reference coin.
If you are 18 or older, MoleMapper™ also gives you the option to participate in a research study developed in partnership with researchers at Oregon Health & Science University to better understand skin biology and melanoma risks.
Keeping track of the size, shape and color of your moles is the best way to catch potential skin cancers like melanoma in their early stages. Whether you use MoleMapper™ to keep track of a single suspicious mole over time or construct a full-body map, we hope this app will make being vigilant about your health a bit more enjoyable.
This app may read and/or write data from Apple's Health app with your permission.
What's New in Version 3.0.2
We fixed a wee little bug we felt was important to get out sooner than later.
We fixed a few bugs that managed to sneak on board our 3.0.0 release! The calibration sequence now properly responds to taps, the consents will get emailed from the Welcome screen, and a few other minor glitches have been fixed.
We’ve made measuring moles significantly easier in this version! Using the data collected from earlier versions by users participating in the study, we’ve made measuring as simple as tapping on the images of coins and moles. This follows our changes in the 2.2 version which made it much easier to participate in the study and the War on Melanoma™. Finally, with this version we’re collecting better data (from those who choose to participate) so the science we’re enabling will be better. Thank you to everyone who is helping us with this fight against melanoma!
New update makes it unusable.
I used this app to track moles for months. Now the new update has made it unusable. Months of tracking data gone for me. Way to hang your users out to dry.
