The free version gives you three free habits. Upgrade to premium for unlimited habits. In-app subscriptions in the app ($1.99/month or $14.99/year) offer extra functionality. Bought premium but now premium not working??
Hi, first off let me say I have always been a huge fan of the free iOS app.
Today I decided to upgrade to premium to unlock more habits. Instead of doing so straight from my iPhone, I downloaded the free Mac app, and then upgraded via the Mac app. Now, when I go back to my iPhone and unlock premium (Hit upgrade and then “i’m already a premium user”), it says to make sure both devices are connected to the same icloud account (they are), and to the internet (both to the same home wifi too). Okay. So I hit “restore.” And it loaded. And it loaded. And it would not stop loading.
When will I ever get to unlock premium on iOS? I’m thinking this is some sort of a bug and it needs to be fixed asap, cuz while I do enjoy using Momentum on Mac, not having it on iOS is a major inconvenience, enough to maybe warrant switching to another system.
If it’s not gonna work I’d at least want a refund. But I really want it to work! So dev, please help! I would go to the website but it is currently “disabled” and something funky happened to your domain.
Current day eventually gets pushed off of the display
I only use the Momentum Mac app, not the iOS or Watch versions.
As far as I can tell, and maybe this is something that doens't happen if you're syncing with the iOS version, the view is fixed starting at a particular date that you're tracking. So, instead of having the last X days viewable for you, the display will stay fixed on whatever starting date you've set, meaning that eventually, the current date is pushed off the far right of the view. With no way to see the current day other than changing the start date every once in a while and losing old data... I'm not thrilled.
Excellent app with a few minor annoyances
Without some kind of "have I done this?" app, my chaotic schedule makes a "daily routine" almost impossible. Momentum is the best I’ve found so far - it’s simple and convenient.
There are a few nuisances you should be aware of before you start using it. In order of annoyance level:
- There’s no functionality for reordering habits, so if you care about the order (e.g. daily with daily and weekly with weekly), you’d better put everything in up front.
- When adding habits, sometimes the new habit will "swap" with one earlier in the list. I’m not yet sure what triggers this.
- When updating habit names, sometimes the update won’t "take" - if you don’t click elsewhere in the Momentum panel after changing the name, it may reset after the first time you close and reopen the app.
- As you use it over several months, the horizontal scrolling will gradually slow down. The only way to fix this is to reset the starting date and truncate your history.
