Worst Service Ever


My mother needed medication after an emergency and was short on cash. She only knows how to use money gram. I Went to send the money and I got the message “transaction error, please try again later”. I tried again a while after and got the same message. I went to check my transactions and saw that both my attempts were being processed but were under verification. I did not want both transactions to go through, only one. I tried to cancel online but immediately got a message to contact customer service. After being on hold for 25 minutes and talking to someone in another country I was told my account was deactivated. I asked for 10 minutes to be connected to someone who could tell me why and to explain the situation to me. Customer service kept putting me back on hold telling me they were consulting with a “specialist” about my “case”... then I was told there was no one else that could help me or tell me why my account was terminated. He told me both transactions would be cancelled and the money would return to my account in 72 hours. Well, that was Thursday and it’s Sunday and I still have charges from both transactions. I will never use this service again and you are stealing.



I sent money to my fiancé and instead of him being able to pick it up immediately we were given the runaround. When he was at the moneygram location trying to pick up the money, he was told it was on hold. No other information given or anything! On my side it showed it was ready for pickup. I called and was told he needed to call (and only he could) for verification purposes. He called twice and was told they needed time to review. Review what? They never asked him any questions that pertained to my identity. Then they told me that I needed to call to further verify the identity. Which they only asked 2 questions- email and birthdate. I was then waiting on the phone while “they verified” and I was told that Moneygram was unable to verify. NEVER did I get a reason why or what exactly needed to be verified. It was just cancelled! This service has been the worst I have encountered and to have to wait as long as 10 days to be able to see my money in my account! They are so good at drafting the money immediately from your account and now without reasons or a good explanation they deny the transaction.

Only can give 1 star! Last year I sent money several times the person I sent it to couldn’t receive the money ! Something about her identity ? I’ve been sending to her through Walmart for over a year never had an issue ? It’s money gram ? I have been reading the receipts and they are promoting the money gram app! Why It doesn’t work just baffles me ? The app is complete garbage I tried to use the app again it wouldn’t let me ! It didn’t believe my name ? It simply said we need more information about your identity ! Well guess what you don’t show a platform to add information ! How exactly I’m supposed to give you more info ? This is totally nuts ! I don’t think this app is anything anyone should attempt using I think it is bogus ! Don’t waste your time ! And to anyone connected to moneygram get it together people there’s an information highway out there it’s called the internet ! Sink or swim
