Fantastic personal finance app for outside the US
I've been a Quicken user for years, but when I moved outside the United States and had to open a foreign bank account to pay for living expenses in my country of residence, Quicken couldn't connect with the foreign bank.
Enter: MoneyWiz
It connects to all six of the major banks in this country, one of which was mine. The connection is secure, stable, and while you can't refresh every other second, it's frequent enough (every other hour or so) to keep an accurate running record.
At first, using the budgets was a learning curve for me, because I was used to Quicken. But once I understood how MoneyWiz approached budgeting, it was much easier to use than Quicken!
I'd like to see some improvements with the UI, like bulk transaction editing or saved reports—otherwise, this app would get 5 stars from me.
The Premium subscription is worth the investment. It's the best way to get the most out of MoneyWiz. Without the subscription, you'll probably get frustrated with the limitations, so get the subscription and forget the standalone app.
Best Money App. Period.
I've literally tried them all. You name it, I've tried it - all in the name of finding a money tracking solution that worked well across iOS and Mac. There are others out there, but none that are better than MoneyWiz. Fast sync, great customization options, and stellar customer support. If you're a MW1 user, pay for this upgrade. If you're new or thinking about MoneyWiz, don't hesitate, buy this immediately. You won't be sorry.
Great program, very customizable
MoneyWiz is a great program because you can adjust it to fit your needs. I set it up with multiple accounts and use it to balance those accounts with its reconcile feature. I used Quicken in the past, and this program is way easier and has many more features.
