What's New in Version 1.3
Game is still good, but...
Dear Telltale and Apple,
First, i know the game is a couple years old and could have problems running on new Apple devices. The game is still good for interactive entertainment, but it is unplayable on any Ipad, specifically new Ipad Pro, iOS 10.3. I figured the problem is more specific with the first chapter. It crashes after selecting a chapter and getting to the main menu to start the chapter. I also bought the other chapters during the deal, and every other chapter, 2-5, appears to running without a problem. I can get past the chapter selection and manage to start a new game without a problem of crashing. I was able to download and play each new chapter on new Iphone 7, iOS 10.3, without a problem. I prefer to play on a larger screen. Like everyone else has said. The game's first chapter doesn't appear to running correctly and crashes unexpectedtly on newer ipad devices. I also tried to see if I start a later chapter and select the first chapter from to play it, but the first chapter keeps crashing. Its good the other chapters are working, and I can live it on other devices. But Telltale and Apple, you should fix this, because paying for full price to get 4/5 of a working game is not customer-wise.
Monkey Business; Not Monkey Island!!
Telltale has a horrible track record of still listing for sale older titles like Tales of Monkey Island and Back to the Future, without bringing them fully functioning up-to-date for the latest iOS.
I just tested purchasing the first episode of the HD version, tried to play it, and as experienced by others months before saw the app immediately crash. Can't even play it... nor can I even play the SD versions that I bought a few years ago!! But Apple should be doing its part to prevent defective/ malfunctioning apps from continuing to be listed when there is clear widespread feedback that certain titles are not properly being updated/supported. That is comparable to a car lot still being able to sell a model of car that clearly cannot even be driven off of the lot! Come on now! Note: I own the >>much older<< original Secret of Monkey Island SE and Monkey Island 2 SE that are NOT Telltale Titles, and they STILL run perfectly on my new iPhone 7 Plus with 10.2 iOS version!!! So Telltale does not have an excuse for not continuing to support their older app titles, especially if they are still listing them for sale and making money off of new purchases by unsuspecting buyers!
Worst controls and camera
It all most feels they tried to make the game unplayable the camera is always at an angle that make it hard to see anything. And randomly switches halfway thru some areas completely changing your controls that are so unwieldy it is actually difficult to walk from on end of the screen to the other with no obstacles except the camera and controls
