Great game! Give it a shot and ignore the negative reviews!

My perspective on the game and some GREAT TIPS AND TRICKS THAT MIGHT HELP YOU WIN:

Honestly I don't see what the big fuss is about... I won this game on my first try and I was playing against Al, the computer who "always wins." The game seemed to be rigged a little bit towards the beginning but I realized you just have to have the right strategy and be smart. You have to play your moves right and you'll totally win! Don't get too cocky when you have more money than the other player though. One GREAT tip I have is that if you do have more money than the other player, pass up a place and put it up for action. Once you two start bidding you won't even have to pay the full price for the place. You have more money, so just go a dollar higher than the player has or make an offer they know will result in them losing quite some money. Another tip for when you have more money then the other player is that if you really want a property they have make an offer they can't resist since they need money. Also, make sure to purchase Park Place and Boardwalk at all costs. Those are the two main properties that REALLY come in handy when you start building houses. ABSOLUTELY love the game and I will continue playing it over and over again. I rated it four stars because I feel I may have some problems with it in the future but for now it is great! Honestly not a waste of money. Take a risk and you'll be happy you did.

Great way to play a classic board game

For the person below who gave the game a bad review before playing long enough to know the rules..when you make someone go bankrupt, you get their properties. So if Al bankrupts another player, of course you don't have a chance at getting the properties. If you were to bankrupt someone, you would get their properties.

As for be actual game. I love it. It's a great way to kill time and if you have to leave in the middle of the game you can always resume it later. Monopoly was one of my favorite games when I was a kid so it's wonderful getting to play even when I don't have time for a game in real life. I have never have issues with favoritism or with randomization as is mentioned below. I have about a 50% win rate - all you need is strategy, learning the best way to deal with the computer, and to know how to play the game. If you roll enough dice in real life, probability is you will see some patterns as well (seriously, go try it then whine about sucking at board games some more). I think this game only has a low rating because people don't like Monopoly itself, not because it's a bad app.

The only thing I have trouble with is wifi games. Maybe not enough of my local people play but I never seem to be able to find any games to join or host one.

So rigged!!!!!

DO NOT waste a dollar on this game. Go buy a double cheeseburger at McDonalds instead. It's so rigged. First game the computer guy had 2 monopolies in the first 2 rounds around the board. Got park place then rolled a 2 to get Boardwalk. Got all 4 railroads and I landed on at least one railroad almost every round trip. I got crushed. So I was like "no big deal, he got lucky". Played another game. I got 4 monopolies to his one. I had blue, light blue, purple, and orange. He had red. I was like "easy win". Nope. He managed to only land on ONE of my monopolies in 11 round trips. He kept hitting the community chest in between or the just visiting jail. EVERY TIME. But yet I managed in those same 11 round trips to land on his red monopoly 6 times! It was unreal. I've never played monopoly where I had 4 monopolies with houses on them and lose to someone with only one. So I chalked it up to "possible luck". Il try one more. So the final game I played he got brown monopoly and orange. I got yellow. Four times in a row I landed on his Baltic with a hotel on it. Every card he got was money. Every card I got except 2 was paying. He managed to skip my yellow monopoly every single round trip the entire game. Finally I landed on his stupid orange monopoly and lost. This game would be fun if it was fair. Why would you create a game in which the player can't ever win? So rigged. I'm glad it was only 1$.
