Great way to play a classic board game

For the person below who gave the game a bad review before playing long enough to know the rules..when you make someone go bankrupt, you get their properties. So if Al bankrupts another player, of course you don't have a chance at getting the properties. If you were to bankrupt someone, you would get their properties.

As for be actual game. I love it. It's a great way to kill time and if you have to leave in the middle of the game you can always resume it later. Monopoly was one of my favorite games when I was a kid so it's wonderful getting to play even when I don't have time for a game in real life. I have never have issues with favoritism or with randomization as is mentioned below. I have about a 50% win rate - all you need is strategy, learning the best way to deal with the computer, and to know how to play the game. If you roll enough dice in real life, probability is you will see some patterns as well (seriously, go try it then whine about sucking at board games some more). I think this game only has a low rating because people don't like Monopoly itself, not because it's a bad app.

The only thing I have trouble with is wifi games. Maybe not enough of my local people play but I never seem to be able to find any games to join or host one.

Really people?! It's not that hard.

It's not a great game by any means. But it doesn't have any issues for me as far as freezing or anything.

Any of you who lose to the AI every single time are honestly just stupid. I'll tell you exactly what you do. DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO BLOCK THEM FROM GETTING A MONOPOLY!!! With a lot of cash, this is especially easy. Early in the game, try to acquire at least one property of each color (the railroads and utilities don't matter as much) though the combination of landing on them and through trading. If you have to, throw a lot of money in for the colors you don't have one of. Do this before all properties are acquired, otherwise the computer will trade with itself and give itself monopolies and you WILL lose. Eventually, you will get a monopoly somewhere through trade/landing on it. Just whatever you do make sure you hold one of each color. As time passes, and you go around the board a lot, you will slowly make money. Then you can build a house or two...people will land on it and you can build more/unmortgage any properties you had to mortgage. It's a boring strategy, but pretty foolproof.

Awesome, BUT...

I used to have a life before I downloaded this game. Really, I did. I saw the sun, I did a lot. Now I stare into my screen because I'm addicted. This game is great, however a few downfalls as to why I didn't rate it 5 stars. The first, being that I had to buy this game, I find it annoying that every now and then an ad pops up. If the game were free I'd have no complaints about that but since I bought it I expect it to be ad free. The 2nd thing is that I hate that I have to press and hold the speed up button. I mean, I'm glad it's there but I wish there was an option to auto-speed the game. The graphics are too slow for this self proclaimed "fast paced" game. I don't particularly care for the animations, just let me get to my next turn! My final gripe is that when I am holding the speed button and an AI lands on chance or community I have to release the button, acknowledge the card and wait 72 hours as the Next AI rolls its dice. Other than those, this game is top notch. Please make some changes, EA!
