Customer Reviews

Excellent app with amazing customer support!

When Skitch was sold to Evernote, I switched to Monosnap because it had all the features of Skitch [which i had paid for!] and it was free. I found it much more useful the more I owned it, and even made the IAP so that I could save my screenshots and such to Evernote and Dropbox. The app has proven to be super stable until an issue cropped up where opening the preferences would crash the app. I e.mailed their support address and received a reply on a Sunday with two ways to solve the problem. I’m now back in action and it’s working great. Their website even has tips on how to use system audio when doing a screencast with this app. Super useful and I’m still amazed it’s free. Well done! :)

Monosnap spotty

Monosnap has great potential but falls short. The main reason I purchased the in-app purchase was for the ability to upload to evernote automatically and instantly get the link shared and copied to my clipboard. And it does this… for some things. PDFS and other documents still have and issue where they are uploaded as an unreadble file type. There are several other bugs with it also such as spotty authentication for certain services. I have tweeted and emailed support several times and they say that it is all fixed on the next update. But here I am 6 months after I purchased it awaiting this update. They say they are working on “new features” before the update. How about release of an update that fixes the current “features” that don’t work? I tried to like you Monosnap… you just didn’t like me back.

4.5 Stars - Just one problem!

I LOVE this application, and the best parts are the great features, but there is one problem with Monosnap. You know how when you are looking at what you’ve recorded after doing a screencast/screen recording, and you see a black circle appear around your on-screen mouse? Well, this gets a bit annoying when I see what my screen recordings turned out like, and I would like the option to disable having this circle appear in my finished video . If you could please at that option for turning it off into the screen recording settings, I would be really happy, and will change my rating to 5 stars! Thanks, Farminers LTD/Monosnap support! :)
