A little bug was fixed.
As other reviewers have mentioned the lack of response from the controls make this truly unplayable. I typically love retro shooters that allow you to earn upgrades but there are far too many things wrong.
There is not enough money to ear per level. The enemies increase dramatically from each level making it literally impossible to kill them with the weapons you can afford. The character does not regain health between levels and the only option is buying a new character with higher health. Oh yeah, you can't afford that.
Gameplay is limited to one backdrop with swarms of enemies attacking from all directions. Controls limit the already limited field of vision and you can't easily switch weapons. Purchased weapons run out of ammo too fast. You are not able to upgrade the amount of ammo per weapon. If you could I suspect that you couldn't afford it.
I made it to level 1-7 and almost at level 1-2 the game degenerates into jumping and firing. Since the aiming system is too loose, you end up wasting (what little ammo) you have as you jump endlessly trying to not die.
I think a lot of developers are spending too much time on minutiae rather then worrying about making a game that is actually fun AND playable on the iPhone 4 platform. Frustrating and subsequently deleted. Shame.
Good concept, horrible execution
The game has the right idea. Simple game where you can unlock better weapons and I like the retro look.
But 2 main problems you need to fix to make this app playable;
1. Switching guns. I kept trying to switch from pistol to 2nd gun you buy, but the guns option never responded to my taps or touch. Which leads me to...
2. The enemies. With horrible unresponsive controls, how do you expect the player to kill the fast swarm of enemies?
Overall it's a frustrating game and you die because of bad controls and unfair difficulty. I downloaded this because it's free today, but this isn't worth a dollar.
I think everybody is bad at this game. Only problem is no save so it takes ages to get where you were before an there's no multitasking.
