This application is designed to be used with the Mopeka TankCheck sensor. The Tank Check application can measure the LPG propane level to tell you the exact fill level and when your tank is empty. It can be used on tanks found in RVs, heaters, BBQ grills, etc. The Tank Check sensors are magnetically stuck to the bottom of your propane tank and will periodically measure and wirelessly send the fill level or percentage to the Tank Check app. Stick it on the bottom of your tank and know exactly when you are running low on propane! This technology is patent pending.
More info about the TankCheck Sensor and links to purchase the sensors can be found on the Mopeka website at http://www.mopeka.com
1. To pair your Tank Check sensor to the phone, simply press the "Sync" button on the back of the sensor while the app's main screen is visible. The first time you use your Tank Check sensor you must press the "Sync" button 5 times in a row in order to wake up the sensor.
2. Place the Tank Check sensor in the center of the underside of the tank. Most tanks have a small "flat" spot on the center and this is the nominal location for the sensor.
3. Flip the tank over. Once the fluid has settled the app will display a reading. Note that the LPG fluid will be sloshing around in the tank for a few minutes and the quality of the measurements will be low until this has stabilized.
Changes to cloud update must be 1s or newer to account for latencies and diff between phone and cloud server timestamp. Removed log messages

No joy on iPad
Installed on iPad 9.3.5, all I get is "Star Scan Error" please check that Bluetooth is enabled and try again.
It is and connects/pairs with other devices? I've tried turning on/off Bluetooth, other connections, reinstalling app and other solves I could find to no avail. Any suggestions?
Should note I have installed app on another iPad (12.1.4), 2 phones and app is awesome, just wish I could get on my iPad...
Works as advertised...
We are full time RVrs and live in a colder climate. I bought the sensors to give us notice of our propane levels in colder weather. One thing that I noticed is that the tank surface must be clean and relatively smooth for the device to work. Also, if a sensor starts getting "wonky", you can pull the battery to reset the sensor to factory specs. The sensors themselves are fairly accurate and reliable; if one of them says that a tank is low I know it's time to go out and check the regulator to see if it has switched over. As far as the App, I'd like to see notifications for low signal, low battery, and low propane levels. This would make it so I wouldn't have to manually check the app periodically.
Update: the developers recently added the notifications I requested. Also they updated the overall appearance of the app. The changes to the app seem to work great and will certainly make things easier. I really appreciate the responsiveness of the development team in adding this to the app. I honestly can't think of any reason why anyone who wants a reliable propane tank level solution wouldn't want this app and the devices they support.

Please check-out the new version. We have added adjustable notifications for low propane levels.
Might be good if it really worked
When I first installed the sensors and the app it told me what the level was in both tanks and I was hopeful. Then I left the RV for a bit and when I got back it wouldn't work again for about 6 weeks. Just kept saying something about turning on the Bluetooth which was on. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, hit the green button various numbers of times, rebooted the phone and the BT, nothing worked. Then suddenly out of the blue it worked again! For a day. Then one of the sensors stopped reporting. It hasn't reported in over a week. The other one told me the tank was empty about a hundred times until I refilled it. The sensors and app are a good idea and would be helpful to full time RVers, just doesn't actually seem to work in real life.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
