Movie Blaster - for DLNA streaming to Chromecast and Fire TV
By Adam Wyss
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Movie Blaster allows you to easily watch your digital movies and other videos on your TV. Simply browse through your movies and videos with your iPad or iPhone. Movies posters, summary and information will automatically be provided if the movie title can be found on the internet. Your videos can be played locally or cast to your television. Play, pause, skip, and volume is all controlled from your iPad or iPhone.
All your videos and movies will be provided from your home DLNA Network Attached Storage (NAS) to your iPhone, iPad or on your television using Chromecast, Fire TV, or DMR connected to the same WI-FI network. Any DLNA UPnP server can stream your mp4 movies to the app. With most home routers including USB storage and the popularity of standalone NAS drives allow you to easily host your home movies or digital copies on the network to be viewed on the television or your mobile device. Currently, only the movies in the MP4 format can be seen by the app and displayed on Chromecast and the other supported playback devices.
If you find your DLNA server isn't working with the app, drop us a line and let us know. Please provide us your comments, ideas or feedback in email and we will work to include them into future releases.

Great app, best I've tried for NAS streaming!
Best app I've found that streams video from a NAS Media Server to a Chromecast.
The design is clean, simple, intuitive, and perfect the way it is. I'm glad there's no sliding/morphing/3D animated menus that complicate similar apps. Maybe add swipe back to return to movie list?
The "Add media server" option was tricky for me because I organize my collection with each movie inside a folder, for an annoying but necessary reason I won't get to. So an "Add folder along with all subfolders" option would be nice, instead of the "All Videos" on the media server option I had to go with. Small annoyance but I'm sure it's an easy option to implement.
The feature that downloads a movie's information and thumbnail is great. It makes me enjoy picking a movie to watch instead of just reading through a long text list. Out of the hundreds of movies on my NAS it only had a few missing/grey thumbnails, and they were all concentrated near the end of the a-z list.
Works like a charm!
Fantastic app for playing content from NAS to Chromecast! Thanks! Best parts is TV screen goes blank and allows just to listen to blissful music!
Not sure how to use it. Could you make like a guude or something to make it simpler
