Ratings and Reviews
Great app - no more problems
I have iOS 11.2 and this app keeps crashing now, where it never used crash. Crashes every time I watch it and then hit play, kind of the point of the app. I would rated five stars if it wasn’t for that.
-UPDATE- upgraded to iOS 11.3 and the app now works well. I don’t know if the problem was on the MPR side or the iOS side. Either way, I’ll give MPR the benefit of the doubt and give them the five stars I promised.
All in all, MPR is a great app, and I like the sleep feature that turns the stream off when the timer is up.
But, the design and implementation of the feature is about as bad as it can be. I have to touch the screen 6 times every time I want to use it. On my radio, I just push a button on top and works.
Here's how it should work: First, when I set the time, it should remember that time and assume I'll use the same time every time I use the feature. Second, you should be able to "Single Touch to Engage" by putting another button 💤 along the bottom along side the Play / Pause button ... easy 🙏
I downloaded this app a couple weeks ago when The Current was doing its Best Prince Songs countdown. It worked fine for that. BUT, I haven't actively used it since then and I noticed that my battery was draining pretty fast. I checked battery usage and found the MPR app was using between 25-30% of battery life. I tried turning off background app refreshing (not an option under the app's own settings, but possible under Settings/General/Background Refresh"). But after two days, it is still taking 25% battery life. Sorry, but no thanks for an app I might use occasionally when traveling)
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
