What's New in Version 1.0.5
-- Hires artwork for the Retina display
-- Adds more robust support for iOS 4
-- Other fixes and enhancements
Easy to enter numbers, hard to erase.
I like that I can fill in numbers by drawing the digit on the screen—either the final number, or notes about which numbers would work. (It also offers a number pad if you prefer that kind of entry.)
The puzzle display is clear and easy to read, too.
The problem comes when I make a mistake partway through the game. (I play at bedtime, so this happens a lot with my sleepy brain.) I haven't found a way to clear the entire puzzle at once—so I have to go through and clear each square individually! That's the only reason I haven't rated Mr. Sudoku five stars.
Great Sudoku App
I've been using this app for over a year and I love it (no issues with iOS 4 or 5 on iPhone 4). Just recently realized Ambrosia made it, which makes sense - I've loved their stuff since Maelstrom. I don't have an iPad, but I can see the frustration for having to pay for a native version (though personally I'd pay again). It's definitely my favorite of all the Sudoku apps I've tried.
Love it, but...
Love the game, but it frequently fails. I have to delete it and reinstall it again. The features are better than other versions and I really like it!
