The video in this App was specifically created for people newly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The objective of the video is to help those diagnosed with MS, their family, friends, parents and teachers to understand this disease better. An improved understanding of this disease will hopefully alleviate some of the anxiety newly diagnosed people have about their diagnosis. This App also has a series of questions and answers and users are encouraged to share and tweet their results.

The central nervous system (CNS), which consists of the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves, is affected by Multiple Sclerosis. Using high definition 3D visualisation and multimedia we take a look inside the human body at the nerve cells in the CNS to explain the sclerosing or scarring of the myelin sheath covering the axon of the oligodendrocyte (nerve cell). This sclerosing causes the transmission of nerve impulses to be slowed or dissipated.

Ratings and Reviews

The app is ok

You get a brief 6 min. Explanation about what MS is and then a 16 question trivia game. I knew all the answers because I have researched in depth about my own disease. Unfortunately there is nothing more to this app other than the quiz and the video. They do provide a link to the MS society of Australia but nothing more is done with this app. I am only giving it 3 stars because the more goes towards the MS society of Australia but other wise the app. Is very trivial and not worth the money.
