Buyer beware
I really hate to give bad reviews but like my title says “buyer beware!” Don’t take my word for it just go to the support forums for this application and read for yourself. Riddled with launch delays and not a single email to keep PRE-PAID purcharsers updated. Several promised and missed release dates, mixed stories as to the reason. Sometimes it was “we are working out final kinks so it is perfect”, “we submitted it to the app stores” or others. At one point they were working out the kinks after it had already been submitted to the stores … really? Listen as a developer I understand what goes into this process, but where this company fell flat on their faces is in the lack of communication with clients. Not a single email to let me know what was happening with the late release. I should not be forced to go to the forums to find out what is happening. I have previous versions of this product and it was great, but this version don’t waste your money. NO DROPBOX sync so if this is important to you stop reading now. I am still waiting on them to submit my refund which is one of many that requested it (read the forums if you don’t believe me).I could go on at length but truly do not want to bash this company. Yet at the same time their customer interaction is the worst I have ever encountered. You should wait about 6 months before “upgrading” to this version. BUYER BEWARE!
Upset Former User
On Feb 19, 2017 I looked around and thought mSecure looked pretty good so I purchased it. After I paid and got it installed I was sent an email that said I could purchase the new update when it would be released 2 months later. I immediately contacted them with the news that most software companies allow free update to paid updates if your purchase was within a specified time and usually is about 6 months, I was told to send an email and they would put me down as being paid when the new version came out. Then here comes April and no update. Again most software companies will blow their horn that the new version is coming but the don’t give a date until its ready. Now we are in May and the new version is here so I excitedly downloaded and migrated into the new version and as soon I opened it I was met with the fact I had 30 days left on my trial version. I have not heard back from them but considering the way my entire situation has been handled I am not going into shock. In addition, I don’t like the fact that my backup will not be on the iCloud. I have found out in my life if you hear barking, there is a dog nearby. I have uninstalled both versions and am now using enpass instead. So I wasted $20, not the first time I have done that either. If you don’t mind being treated poorly, jump on it, water isn’t too cold.
Great App and Great Support People
Dont understand the low reviews. Not fair to judge the apps value and performance because the new version came later than expected. Better to get it right the first time than toss out a new untested version just to make the expected promise date, and wait for the users to point out the flaws so they can be fixed. This new version works and looks great! I have been a mSecure user for more than 10 years and am really pleased with the new version with much improved security and new features. I was sleptical at first about using the cloud backup instead of Dropbox, but am completely happy with how it works. Congrats to the whole mSeven crew for a fine new version. Finally, if you have any problem installing or using the app don’t hesitate to contact the support team. Not only will you get a prompt reply but they will continue to work with you until your problems and issues are resolved. GREAT APP AND GREAT SUPPORT people. Dont be swayed by the low reviews. Get this new version if you want an outstanding and secure password keeper.
