Customer Reviews

Thank you NBC News

I too wrote a negative review of the prior update. I also pretty much stopped using it, where before I was in and out often during the day. My main complaint was the inefficient use of iPhone screen real estate. But fair is fair, and I have to say this latest update is much better. The smaller blocks mean more article headlines appear on the screen. Thanks to NBC News for listening to the reviews - I'm now a fan again. I kinda still miss the black background though!

I used to love this app. Back when they had the peacock and you could pick the news category you wanted to read.

Now? Horrible. I don't care about the added graphics and video. Guess what? I'm on my phone- I don't typical want to watch a video of the news. I would much rather have the option of reading the article.

Also, it seems that performance has suffered at the hand of the enhanced layout. I'm constantly getting pushed to the next story (I swear I'm not swiping downwards; I'm just scrolling down the page to try to read the article!). And that's if the article will even load at all.

Very disappointing. If this doesn't improve, I will be deleting this app after 3+ years of checking daily.

Officially deleted from my iPhone

For years, this was my #1 go-to news app. Remember back in the glory days when the peacock loaded and you could pick the category you wanted from its tail? Well congratulations NBC, you've managed to ruin thr best news app there was, one "upgrade" at a time. The last one is the final straw. It takes f o r e v e r to load, and frankly I don't have the time to wait. The stories are repeated, so you think you have more news options, but wait -- it's the stories you just flipped past. And you can't even see the main story visual the headline text is all floaty over it and obscures it. Epic fail! You should fire your IT department. Officially deleted.
