OUR PROMISE TO YOU: No ads. No getting suckered into buying more stuff later. The whole game, for one price, with all updates, forever.
Everyone we know with marketing training tried to talk us out of naming this game after an astrological constellation in a dead language. You don’t want the marketing guys to be right, do you?
Known Bug (version 1.0): If "Thumb Guides" are on, you cannot access the Control Settings menu from the Options screen on the main menu. Everything works correctly from the in-game pause menu. We will update the game as soon as possible to correct this. Thank you for you patience!
Kudos but the depth is lacking
I admire the developer for not including in app purchases. The gameplay is simple and challenging. That in itself is not a bad thing, but in this game you restart from the beginning each time you die. This forces you to play the exact same levels over and over ad nauseum. I would much prefer a level progression system or at least random level generation. Also the boss style battle on level 2-4 is simply cruel. I'm half inclined to believe the boss just retreats of the edge of the screen and kills you every time you have it down to 1 hp. Even with a shield blocking the top, this guy breaks through and kills you. Another serious annoyance is the flash effect when your ball hits an enemy. This flash causes you to lose track of your ball. If it's anywhere near the edge you're going to lose it. This game's redeeming quality is that you feel some sort of progression in unlocking paddles. But it does little in alleviating the frustration that comes with all the other drawbacks. I know of quite a few games that i will play much more, despite their IAP, simply because they have a richer, deeper, and more replayable format.
Beautiful and fun game
Well made and worth the money.
Update: Still enjoy the game. Only improvement I could think of would be the option to start at the beginning of stages already unlocked instead of playing from the very beginning every time. The beginning stages can eventually become too easy and boring. There would still be an incentive for players to start from the beginning to earn more coins for upgrades.
I rarely write reviews but had to for this. If you like the old school pong type games you'll love this. Now you have two paddles. And enemies to shoot down.
There's a nice simple tutorial to get things going.
The music is relaxing and the graphics are exquisite. On the Ipad Pro the music and ambient sounds are especially well done.
Game play is well tuned and gets slowly harder and harder but never really frustrating.
