Description
Munzee is the 21st century real world scavenger hunt where QR codes are found and captured using your smartphone. A player levels up and gains rank based on score. Points are obtained by capturing munzees. As you gain experience we encourage you to deploy your own munzees which will also add points to your score.
Munzees come in any size or shape but most contain a QR-code style barcode. The QR code is checked against your GPS coordinates as the essential gameplay elements of Munzee. Munzees can be hidden in containers, camouflaged or stickers in plain view.
Munzee will get you outside and moving. We are more than just a game. We are an active community providing fun tools to live a healthier lifestyle.

Love it... Once I fixed the settings
Just started Munzees (and fitbit), and it is a dynamic duo for getting in extra exercise In a fun way. At first, I hated this app, but it turns out it's just the default settings that are awful. Highly recommend the defaults updated! In the interim...select 'can zoom out' in settings and fix the filters to show all the special Munzees and stop hiding the found Munzees. Another improvement would be to have more help support to describe what things are... Right in the app. Took a lot of toggling between app and Blog to figure this all out - starting with the 'Needs Maintenance' and 'Unable to find' usage and inclusive of decoding the various types of Munzees.
Short lived experience
Decided to try this app for the exercise but despite following the pinpoints on the map I could not find a single tag, either they've been removed or the street team never placed them to begin with. After several frustrating attempts I deleted the app. Great concept, poor execution. Maybe after they work the bugs out I'll try again.
Very Good
The app is very good. It's easy operational usage is fairly intuitive, and it has nice extra options... like the flashlight option for scanning munzees at night.
