Pretty good, needs some improvements
I like using this app, it's been a very conveninent tool for capturing my band's arrangements. Also very easy to share the recordings. The only cons I have (so far) is that the app does not play through a connected blue tooth speaker. Everything else will play back just not this app. Another glitch is starting new files. If you don't save your previous recording, it will just tack on to the end instead of creating a new file. The only workaround I've found is to tap the record button then stop it, then tap again to start a new file. If I'm missing something here, somebody please tell me. Thanks. Otherwise a good app... No problems with crashing or hanging.
DO NOT USE. LOST EVERYTHING
I was using this app to record spontaneous ideas. Completely arbitrarily, this app has frozen. When I open it, I see the blue dot in the middle of the screen, the "Auto" button in the top left, the file box in the top center, and the tuning fork in the top right, but nothing happens when tapping any of these. I've tried a hard closing the app, a hard reset of the phone, and restoring from backup and none of those steps make the app responsive. If I delete the app and reinstall it, it works but all my recordings are gone. I can see the "Ideas" folder in iTunes, in the file sharing section of the App tab of my phone, but I can't copy it over to my desktop. I've essentially lost everything I've recorded there. DO NOT USE THIS APP. It looks like it will be really helpful, but I've been burned so bad by this, it has me questioning the entire POS Apple IOS platform.
Great for the First Steps
Great way to hack out a quick backing track to figure out lyrics or create a melody over, given that you play your riffs somewhat in time. Chord identification is right around 75% of the time, and it's not hard to fix afterwards, except for selecting the desired sections with large fingers on a compact score. Unfortunately there is no layering, unless you export it onto garageband, which isn't hard but adds some hassle. Would love to see some basic layering capabilities in future updates. Occasionally lags and freezes a bit with the auto record function on. Minor bugs here and there, but nothing major that could jeopardize your track.
