This is a wonderful interactive book written by Moshe Caine and Illustrated by Edik Mitgartz will teach the reader all about ancient musical instruments.
Music and musical instruments played a very important role in the ancient world.
Music was played in prayer, in ceremonies and in sports events. It was used for communication and of course also for pleasure.
The musical instruments of old time were not all that different from many which are in use today.
This interactive book will introduce the user to various types of instruments, their history and their origins. Taping on the instruments will allow the user to hear them, mix instruments as an orchestra and even interactively play them.
The objects in this book are based on the collection of the Bible Lands Museum Jerusalem.
Musical instruments in ancient time
I wish the book allowed you have the option to have it read to you without having to tap the owl. My grandson is visually impaired toddler and the small directional icon and no option means he can't enjoy the book without help reading each page and direction from a person that reads with him. Maybe the developer can make some changes that will allow a non reader or toddler a user friendly interactive experience. I refer to books by ocean house media ,see hear studios and others which offer a read to me option.
This is a great educational book for kids to learn the origins of some musical instruments. I love the parts that let you play your own music. This book makes learning fun, and the illustrations are beautifully done.
Wonderful wonderful book!!
Can't say enough good things about this book - such fun for ALL the family even my teenage son likes playing with it - 5 STARS!!!
