Buyer Beware

I, as well as many others, have been LONG standing users of the My Eyes Only - Classic and at face value its a great application, but wait a few days, months, years. When many of us initially purchased this application it was free or one time fee. It even had a stand alone program you could use on your computer to sync your information to your OWN computer/laptop. Then "they" decided to change it and no longer allow people to use the combination of the app and computer program. The original classic program was still available at no charge, but you could no longer save your data to another source. They then began to push users to upgrade to their annual services to sync their information over the cloud. NOW they no longer support the My Eyes Only Classic and have basically hijacked our information and hold it for ransom. If you do not pay for the subscription, they take away your ability to access your information forever. No opportunity given to download the information or program to unload it, but they keep it under their lock and key. So buyer beware. This company is out to make money and they will change their parameters later on after you have invested your time into filling out passwords.... There is another APP "LASTPAS," everyone should check out... As of right now it doesn't have a subscription but a one time $4 fee. GOOD JOB Sotware Ops LLC, you lost a lot of customers on this rollout.

Hi, KOTH. Your assessment of what happened is not factual and you are spreading misinformation. The facts: We did an update of the app My Eyes Only Classic, not this app BTW, and that update caused you to not be able to access the app via your password. We didn't know why until today, Sept. 25, 2017. It is too long a story for this review reply, but we have all the information at our Support Blog at myeyesonlyapp dot com. Please go have a look. We will have an update to My Eyes Only Classic version 3.4.1 that will allow your password to work again in a day or two. As long as you have not erased your data you will get access to your private information. Again we have details for you and others who had the issue with Classic at the support blog..And yes, a backup of your data in our Syncryption service would have been a big help. And yes we do want our users to go to My Eyes Only (formally Pro), this app, so we can continue to support our users. Yes it costs money to do so. Such is life. I have to pay my software developer so they can feed their family and I too ask you to pay for our services, if you choose. Thank you taking the time to read this response.

Couldn't function without this app!

SERIOUSLY! I recommend this app to anyone who will listen and who struggles with having to remember passwords when we have to change them every 3 months at work. I never forget my new passwords because I make it a habit to open this app and update the passwords in the app at the same time I'm updating them on my computer.

And that's just the beginning! Being able to keep all of my credit card information, medical information, prescription drug information, etc., etc., is invaluable. I have everything I need to run my life right at my fingertips on any iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad that I have. And everything syncs together perfectly, so when I make a change on one device, it updates all of the rest of them automatically.

I'd be lost without this app! And you'd be crazy, in this crazy digital world, to not put down a few bucks and buy the app yourself. It pays for itself over and over and over again!

I have been using this app for several years, on a daily basis, and all of a sudden, yesterday, it said my password was incorrect. I never changed my password, tried several
Times to access (thought maybe I was “fat fingering” the keys somehow), then this app deleted all of my data because I tried the PW 5X. I have lost ALL of my passwords and critical information that I have saved and compiled in this app for many years. Completely frustrated and lost without my data. They have a new version (this one), but it does now allow for the porting over of information from the old version to the new. I guess they just scrapped the old version and made a new one without any concern for people that had been using that older version successfully for years? Way to go guys. Now I will have to find a new password keeper (not this one), find (or more likely reset all of the passwords in my life/world) and manually put them into a better and more dependable app. Very disappointed and frustrated that the developer decided I had nothing better to do with my time then reinvent the wheel due to their greed and/or laziness. Good luck with this one!

Hi Rodbeach, We have a fix for My Eyes Only Classic, in app review by Apple. The version is 3.4.1 when you get that, take the update. It will fix the issue. BUT, please visit our support blog at myeyesonlyapp DOT com for an update on the situation. If you have our backup service, your data will be restored. If not, you may need to do an iCloud restore ASAP. Visit the page and ask for help via support AT softwareops DOT com.
