Amazingly Helpful Tool

This app could be invaluable to families that have lost a loved one. It is designed to gently but effectively guide parents and children through grief journeys by encouraging discussion and preserving memories in multi-media formats. The end result is a testimonial to the loved one's life, and the process of creating it is profound. It even includes a wealth of offline activities to encourage healthy responses to loss. Highly recommend!!

Having worked in hospice for over 20 years I see this app as making a significant contribution toward helping children find support and healing for their grief. Offered in a secure format this grief journal uses an adult and child login to access. Once logged in A child user follows the prompts offered by a friendly parrot guide. All prompts are personalized for the child user in relationship to the person they have lost. There are over 20 different activities that the child can engage in to remember and honor the one they have lost. Using "play" as the appropriate means by which children process life events, child users can draw, upload photos and music, as well as express the their memories and grief through numerous journaling opportunities. Creative activities help children identify feelings and find ways to share them. Each activity is saved and is available to the child the next time he/ she logs in. I highly recommend this affordable app as an excellent resource for parents, grandparents or other family and friends to offer children who have lost someone they love.

This app is excellent for grieving children and families! I would highly recommend it to friends, family, and patients.
