My Neighbor Girl
This automatically loses 2 stars for false advertising. Sexual content is neither intense nor frequent. Those who are expecting an eroge (erotic game) will be sorely disappointed. As for the "dating sim" in this game, it consists mostly of rather casual and repetitive study sessions in the library (with optional review sessions after) and unconvincing "conversations" during the walks home each evening. All this wouldn't be so bad if you could continue with the game after earning your first date instead of being shown a single picture (that never gets more explicit than a bikini) as a substitute for your "date" and a "Thanks for playing". Low replay value with grammar that says "They just didn't care." and an unreasonably high amount of repetition for a single playthrough. Three stars is my being generous.
A quick breakdown
Of why 2 stars:
(-1)VERY short: took me a little over 2 hours to get ALL the endings and
(-1/2) game ends on exam result day, not even a text-only epilogue or anything past that is given, just a "thanks for playing" picture
(-1/2) The English translation is worse than what you usually get from babelfish (or other free online translator).
(-1/2) Lots of dialogue repetition
(-1/2) Gameplay not exactly challenging: once you see the pattern, (about 15 minutes into playing for me) you'll only lose/get bad
ending if you do it on purpose.
If this was a free app I wouldve rated it higher, but for $9.99 this is disappointing. I'm glad to see this type of game in English, but that doesn't mean Im gonna ignore it's flaws, since I think that'll do more harm than good in the long run.
To whoever asked about the o
Password you get at the end: that's if you ever delete/reinstall the
Game: it unlocks all the pics/bgm so you don't have to redo everything (you still lose all your saved games)
Oh and ignore the 17+ rating: I don't know who put it there or why but there is NOTHING in this game that would put it in that category.
What does 'Omake Password' do?
After getting all five ending you are given an 'omake password' that can be entered in the password screen (kra43pwc). Entering this password doesn't seem to do anything... Afterwards I went through one of the endings again, hitting all the talking points, but got the same result...
