If it ain't broke, DONT MESS WITH IT!!

The new app works good but now it takes more steps to pay your bill and find what you want.
I understand the need for corporations to constantly change things. It's all about sales and marketing. But what corporations don't understand or care about are people and what most are like. Take my father for instance, he's 75 years old and it took me 5 years to get him to switch to a smart phone. Apple does one update and changes the interface of the I-phone a very small change and I have to spend 3 weeks helping my father figure it out again. Verizon wireless changes the app and how it is configured. Again back out to help my father to just pay his bill. Don't get me wrong I love my dad and I spend as much time with him as possible. But I'd much rather spend my time doing things that we both like to do other than spending hours upon hours helping him with his more convenient smart phone.
We have the technology to to all these updates and changes, why can't they make the apps in different versions that suit the user and not the maker?
More of a rant than a review.

Due Date & Payment Balance Defect

Do you people even text the app before you push it out? iOS 10.2 on iPhone 6 and the app has a defect where on the main screen of the app where your bill balance is, the Due Date under it is completely illegible because it's cut off at the top and bottom of it. Like seriously?! You didn't see that during testing? Only the most basic thing listed on the FIRST screen of the app, sitting there blatantly right in front of you and you miss it?! 🙄👎

When you pay your bill through the app and you're returned back to the main account menu, the balance is not updated with Paid In Full. It still looks like you have a bill to pay and it'll actually still take you to a payment screen. Only way to get it to update is to close the app out fully and open it back up. You need to fix this ASAP!

ENOUGHT WITH THE ADS ALREADY!

Update: It was bad enough when half of the screen was taken up by an ad. NOW IT'S THE FULL SCREEN, and you actually have to scroll down to see the info which was the reason for launching the app in the first place. ENOUGH!!! Get rid of the stupid ads -- Do you really think everybody wants to be BOMBARDED with ads in their faces every minute of every day?

Sorry, but the new UI is considerably inferior to the old one. First, I would much rather see the amount of data I used, rather than what's left. Second, I now have to click thru 3 pages to check the usage of the individual lines, which now also requires me to do math. But most egregious of all, all the fancy graphics and multiple page loads is surely just a ploy to increase your data usage. What a scam. Have some integrity, and don't count the data usage while in the app!
