When are you going to be satisfied?
Every month the app changes and I have to figure out where things are. Yes, the simplification of hitting maybe 4 buttons to pay my bill is nice, which you accomplished in your app months ago, but you keep changing things around for what appears to be no reason other than keeping some programmers employed. Please settle on what you have and move on improving cell service and other features still lacking in superior quality (like the ability to delete messages easily - iPhone/Verizon for some reason stores deleted messages in its server filling up the mailbox and calls cannot leave messages - I had to call Verizon and talk to two techs to find out what the problem was and for them to manually delete the 50 deleted messages stored in my mailbox - messages I deleted months ago remained in the server....).
App leads you to believe you can pay only the full amount until you actually get in to the payment section. This caused me to be later on my bill than necessary when I was having financial trouble recently (had two deaths in family). I thought I could not make a partial payment so I waited until I had the full amount available to pay. Verizon could have had at least a partial payment, but because of the misleading app, it got none until I had the full amount available. Now that I know how it works, it's ok. Just disappointing because I thought at first that Verizon wasn't being considerate of longtime customers (15 years here) when they might need a little extra time. Thinking of switching to cheaper alternative.
Used to be good. Now, not so much.
The app no longer lets me log-in using my ID/password combination. It doesn't use fingerprint technology, and it now enforces a 4 number PIN which is arguably less secure than the User ID/password combination previously used.
There is no way to bypass this PIN requirement, and all of the easy-to-remember PINs I tried are not acceptable to the app because they aren't "secure enough... Really, Verizon?!?
Can't you guys figure out how to implement the fingerprint function?
Failing that, can't you give people the option of skipping the (outdated) PIN method, and sticking with the User ID and password if that is their preference? A PIN is fine if that is your preference, but I don't want to be forced to use a PIN, and then told I can't use a PIN of my choosing because some phone app has decided what is and isn't "secure".
All of this just adds to my increasing disappointment and frustration with Verizon. The cost creep in my contract since I signed up, and now this substandard app... There are other cellphone companies out there. It may be time to start looking for an alternative for when my contract lapses later this year...
