When My Video Alarm runs in the foreground at the designated alarm time, the video or audio file will play. Apple does not allow for one application to over-ride another. Therefore if the My Video Alarm application is closed, in the background or the device screen is locked an alert will flash and the designated alert sound will chime at the alarm time. Once the device is unlocked or the alert is selected the designated video or audio file will play. My Video Alarm is deigned to operate with the fewest user touches.
· Clock Settings
o Dimmer – a dimmer bar is located at the top of the clock screen to adjust screen brightness.
o Clock Color
o Show Seconds
o Show Next Alarm
o Show Today’s Date
o Show Weekdays
o Disable Auto Lock – Select this option to prevent the phone going into sleep mode
After all these years
After all these years with all matter of sounds from the seriously ugly to vain attempt of waking a person with some soothing sound, now comes this absolutely delightful app that will wake you to your own video file...such as my wife at the beach telling me to get up and get her a drink...or the grand kids laughing and giggling and making faces... Well, you get the idea! If you need an alarm you need this app. And chances are you already have some video files that you can easily use...or have great fun making special videos to wake up to.
The lesson from this app is that someone more proficient should create a video alarm clock app. This app is completely undependable. The app arbitrarily and unexpectedly turns off, rendering any and all alarms you may have set useless. Another problem is that if your iPhone or iPad goes into sleep mode, and the app miraculously stays on, any video you have set to play will not play. All that will play is a warning alert that lets you know you have a video waiting to be played. You then have to touch the screen to get the video to play. The app is an excellent idea that has been very poorly implemented, and the creators have not bothered to change it despite numerous warnings of its problem from users.
My Video Alarm
I love this app. It allows me to personalize all my alerts. It's incredibly simple to use. I can quickly select a song from my library or select a video that relates personally to the alert. Kudos to the designers for providing me with a great wake up call.
