■ Create and organize albums, and choose your preferred design
With MyPics, you can freely create albums, and add photos and videos. You can set your favorite photo as the album cover, and choose a design for the app from 45 different themes.
■ Calendar view is supported
You can see all your photos by calendar view. How many photos did I take in this month? What did I do last year on this day? This app reminds you of the precious memories.
■ Original data won't be modified.
With MyPics, when you import photos or videos from the Camera Roll, it saves the original, unmodified data. Exif data like time stamps and geocoding will be stored as is and can be shared over iTunes or transferred to your PC.
■ Secure data set up
The photos and movies taken from your camera roll are saved using original data. Time stamp and location information included in Exif data along with the original file name are available. In addition, data imported into the app will be automatically backed up online using Dropbox! (You can also easily transfer original photos stored in the app using file sharing through iTunes)

Pretty Good
First of all, it does something elementary that Apple cannot seem to get right: it displays photos in the order that they were shot as its default display order. I can't get my iPad to do this no matter what I do. I am using photos from two iPhones and a camera, and this was impossible to do, at least so far. I would be willing to bet that people want 90% of their photos displayed in the order shot. Just saying. So that alone was worth my $4.
I got some areas for improvement. Photo import is too slow. That could be my old iPad, but speed will always be something to work on and I speak as a lifelong computer guy. Next, the slide show feature does not work seamlessly with Apple Air Play. When the next photo comes up I have to touch it before it will go to my big screen. Next, what happens to the videos that are in my photo album? I haven't had the app long enough to figure that out. That is my next puzzle to work.
One of the best app I saw. Yet only 2 stars!...
I first have you 4 stars. But you lost two because I suspect the rating system MIGHT be set to inflate good ratings!!! I had not yet posted my rating (and obviously I am still writing it) that I got a flashing message "thank you for rating our app with 5 stars" (or similar wording). Well now it is two. Sorry guys! And that is a shame because your app is one of the best out there. ALMOST perfect. Maybe less choices in the "pretty theme colors" (!) and more in the "useful settings"...
The settings are indeed pretty much "all or nothing" :
1/ The whole app has a passcode or nothing does - some of my photos are private but not all. We just cannot have a default for new folders and the choice to change it for certain folders?
2/ other example : the photos import automatically with time and location stamps (which is great!). Yet can some photos come just plain?
3/ photos show in calendar view and map view from those stamps. Can certain folders or certain photos stay out of those views?
And yet so far this is one of the best app I saw out there. 3.99$ is well worth it for this app IF you fix that "all or nothing" settings issue. (The Dropbox is a choice by folder. Why not passcode and show in calendar view and show in map view?). Thanks!!
Well, NOW I am posting rating...
Pretty dang good
This photo organization app is very functional. I like that you can make albums, choose the cover photo, organize the order of the photos and the albums, customize the look of the app. One thing I really like about the app is that I can copy over any photo I want from my camera roll, then delete the one in my camera roll to make sure I am not wasting storage space on my iPad. If I ever need it back in my camera roll for whatever reason, I can save it back again from the MyPics app. Overall, as far as photo organization goes on the iPad, this app is pretty great. It is how Apple should have made their photo storage to begin with.
