Thanks to everyone for making MyRadar so successful, with over 17 million downloads!
MyRadar Pro a fast, easy-to-use, weather application that displays animated weather radar around your current location, allowing you to quickly see what weather is coming your way. Our High Definition radar data is processed from raw NOAA weather radar data from the National Weather Service using our custom-designed, proprietary systems and software, offering the clearest, sharpest, most accurate and most up-to-date reflection of precipitation available... easily accessible at the tap of a finger on your mobile device.
Just start the app, and your location pops up with animated weather, allowing you to easily see if rain is headed your way. Our high-res animated radar helps you see weather details even at the closest level!
What's great about MyRadar is that the map is easily zoomed and scrolled around with the flick of a finger, allowing you to quickly check the weather in other parts of the country, including Hawaii & Puerto Rico!
On top of the basic weather, users can get a quick glance of temperatures around the country, as well as overlay a current satellite image of cloud cover. For you aviation buffs, there's a layer that provides Airmets & Sigmets, and even the ability to overlay the flight plan of a particular aircraft onto the map. You can also share interesting weather photos from your area, and see photos other users have contributed neatly displayed on the map.
Additional options include weather warnings and alerts, complete with push notifications, to warn you of severe weather in your area. Great for the start of thunderstorm and tornado season! There's also an optional hurricane tracker, providing excellent details and projections for the path of storms as the season looms near.
MyRadar currently only shows weather for the United States (including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, when HD Radar is enabled).

What's New in Version 4.2.2
Bug fixes to correct forecast icons and some crashing issues.
Love this app, but...
It's great for showing current weather in my area. But my version of the app (I have downloaded latest update) does not look like the version "with meteorologist notes) shown on the MyRadar website. The settings" icon doesn't allow you to change settings, it just gives you the option to buy upgrades, visit the MyRadar Facebook page, or view a help tutorial. The help tutorial gives only a few details. I have tried for the last two days to use the Support button on the App Store page, but am taken to a page that says "you don't have permission to visit this page". That page used to work! There is no description telling me what the various colors mean on the radar screen. i have several more suggestions and questions, but now have nowhere to send an email! Very frustrating, but I do love being able to see weather in real time. I think the temp forecasts have been pretty accurate too. I definitely recommend buying the version without ads, but wish there would be info on the website to answer everyone's questions.
New "my radar" development era
Just as Steinski and others were saying, this release took a dramatic turn for the WORSE.
I understand free stuff shouldn't have much support, but those are users to that give you free information about making the program, the core program, better. The latest update requests for permission to access my Bluetooth, for location accuracy. Seriously?? This may or may not reach out to other phones for information. Regardless of what the dev docs say, it opens the phone to security issues later. Local cell towers is enough information for you. There's no need to open up the Bluetooth and offer a security hole on my phone for this API.
An older developer, would understand, but there is a reason why other apps don't use Bluetooth on a regular basis, especially on an iPhone. It's unnecessary.

This app always has accurate weather info available. Recently, when I was stuck at the airport waiting for my flight to take off because of bad weather delays, the pilot came over the intercom to update us on our status, and he said that if anyone wanted to keep an eye on the weather themselves, he recommended the My Radar app. That's when I knew I was definitely using the best app out there--if professional airline pilots use it, it's probably a pretty good app!
I really like the weather warning feature, which uses push notifications to alert users to dangerous weather conditions.
