Fun, but could do with less insults

I have a Mystery Case File game in the wii I never play so I fm decided to look for one on iTunes since it would be more accessible. It was pretty fun, and my 12 year old is playing it as well. All the puzzles are fun and solving the mystery was fun. It's a great way to spend time when sitting by the husband while he's playing C.O.D. The only annoying part is trying to figure things out for yourself (which maybe you'd have to do that if it were. Real mystery? There would be no explanation of clues laying around, so I was guessing that's why??) and when you know an object serves a purpose and you can't get it to work you are kind of insulted for not having a better idea. When actually you are supposed to use the hammer on the nails or the knife or the sharpening stone, for example, but the placement might be off so he's telling you to seek therapy. Kind of annoying when you are frustrated with the game not doing what it's supposed to. But one question...why did the girls call him "father"?

Great! Really entertaining

Long and complicated, just the way I like HOG's. I prefer the items be stored where the "go back" button is. I kept going back instead of accessing my stuff. It would have been helpful to have some kind of clue on the mini puzzles. Some of them were complicated and had to go on the Internet just for directions. A little pop up note would have been perfect. I like having a map included with the notebook. Even if it isn't interactive (which I do like) it's even more spooky to have a layout of the land and a reference to where I've been and need to go. When I got to the trolley, there wasn't a sparkle on the gas tank. It took me an hour to find. Also had to look that one up. Otherwise, this game was uber fun :0)

Waste of $

I HATED this game! I didn't even finish it because it frustrated me so much. The mini-games MIGHT have been fun if there was some sort of explanation as to what you were supposed to do! That sun/moon game made no sense. There was no strategy guide, which I normally don't use on games. But this game needed one! There was no clear directions to anything, and I had to go online to find out what to do and where to go. Most games, if you hit "hint" it will give you an arrow to show you where to go. This had nothing. AND, the hidden object scenes were horrid. The pictures were so blurry, I could hardly tell what things were. This game was made a few years ago, so I'll try to give them some slack. But not enough to actually finish it!
