Name That! was developed by Speech-Language Pathologists at the University of Northern Iowa to help people with aphasia and individuals with special needs improve their naming, word-finding, and describing abilities.
What am I missing here? A picture of, say, asparagus is shown and the aphasic learner is asked something like "What do you associate this with?" If you cant dredge up the very word "asparagus," how far do you think the aphasic is going to get in explaining it? Maybe more info in the point of this training and some expected positive responses would be helpful. My aphasic learner just got frustrated after two or three images.
Great for practicing at home
A nice, quick app for practicing naming. Great to send home with clients as it is simple and isn't overwhelming for them!
