Ratings and Reviews
Dull, cringey mess
My entire first review got erased. Basically, combat is the only source of gameplay and it's really dull and gets tedious when the game starts throwing enemies with tons of health at you. The writing isn't bad but it's filled with boring, unlikable characters and cringey attempts at humor from 2004. The RPG elements are almost totally nonexistent because instead of advancing your characters you collect items that give your whole party's single set of stats a boost and improve them by gambling your in-game currency. That, along with the fact that you're forced to either buy items or sit around and wait for your health and energy to recharge makes me think at one point the game was meant to have microtranactions. All in all, pretty lifeless and boring and there are better ways to spend your ten minutes on the bus.
Really good game worth the $2 my only 2 complaints are you cant transfer over from the lite version so you have to restart and also combat becomes a managing of energy and health, instead of an all out use your strongest skills (unless you want to spend a fortune of in game money not real dollars), since the totals recover very slowly (heath slower than energy because of the astronomical number difference) between battles. But otherwise i really like the concept
Unique and well-paced
I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It has a unique storyline and interface that reminds me of old console RPGs. There are no ads or IAPs. You can upgrade acquired stat cards by rerolling them using earned in-game currency. There is no need or even option that I can see to spend real-world cash. Some reviewers have mentioned game crashes but I haven't encountered that at all (maybe because I began with a later version).
