App crashes - hard time getting customer support

Two weeks ago I would have given nanit a five star, now maybe a 2.... there have been so many issues recently with the app I can’t count. It freezes up (video stops but unless you look carefully you can’t tell just think your kid is sleeping peacefully. But the clock/time stops moving too so that’s how you know it’s frozen) it happened 4 times in a 36 hour period including twice in the middle of the night on all three devices (husband and my phones and ipad). The app crashes for no reason. The other night it just went offline for 2 hours. Husband had to go unplug it for 3 minutes and plug back in during the middle of the night in babies room. Seriously, what’s the point having all the bells and whistles when you can’t do the basic function with 100% accuracy. Up until 2 weeks ago I was singing nanits praise, telling everyone how awesome it is. Now, I am ranting on an app review. Worst of all you reach out to customer service and they tell you that it must be your internet connection or to unplug and restart the cameras (in the middle of the night? Really?) i am so done....

We waited months for our Nanit but I can honestly say, it's lived up to the hype. Our 6 month old sleeps TERRIBLY and Nanit is there to capture every single time she wakes during the night which actually helps ME sleep better. I no longer have to stare at the monitor all night trying to see when and how long she sleeps - I can rest easy knowing that when I wake Nanit will give me an accurate calculation of everything I want to know. Love the HD images and the ability to snap photos within the app (because sleeping babies are just the cutest!!). Also love the accuracy of the monitor in calculating temperature, humidity, and sleep time. I could never go back to a normal monitor after using Nanit, the information it provides is so helpful!

Editing my review — there are so many bugs. I’m constantly logged out of the app, this morning it’s trying to force me to re-pair my Nanit out of nowhere. Please test your updates before pushing them out.


As the mother of a micro preemie, I took a lot of care in selecting a nursery camera. Although the camera was delayed in shipping, it’s everything I wanted. Insights subscription makes sleep training and noticing trends a lot easier. I use it every single day.

However what really sets the app apart is the exceptional customer service. I can get someone on the phone very quickly and they are always super pleasant and helpful. I love working with tech support, they are really respective to feedback and always respond in a timely manner. They have incorporated my feedback into releases which is so cool to see. In return I try to send detailed bug reports whenever I see something, since I know my emails might actually make a difference.

Thank you for coming up with such a superior product. I really really appreciate the customer focus the Nanit team embodies. I can’t wait to see what you come up with next.
