App crashes - hard time getting customer support
Two weeks ago I would have given nanit a five star, now maybe a 2.... there have been so many issues recently with the app I can’t count. It freezes up (video stops but unless you look carefully you can’t tell just think your kid is sleeping peacefully. But the clock/time stops moving too so that’s how you know it’s frozen) it happened 4 times in a 36 hour period including twice in the middle of the night on all three devices (husband and my phones and ipad). The app crashes for no reason. The other night it just went offline for 2 hours. Husband had to go unplug it for 3 minutes and plug back in during the middle of the night in babies room. Seriously, what’s the point having all the bells and whistles when you can’t do the basic function with 100% accuracy. Up until 2 weeks ago I was singing nanits praise, telling everyone how awesome it is. Now, I am ranting on an app review. Worst of all you reach out to customer service and they tell you that it must be your internet connection or to unplug and restart the cameras (in the middle of the night? Really?) i am so done....

Awesome baby monitor for at home!
We LOVE our nanit. We didn’t sign up for insights until baby starting sleeping in her crib at night (the camera is mounted in our nursery) but loved the camera even without the insights. Now that we have the insights I don’t have to keep track of anything!! Nanit tells me when she was put down, fell asleep, woke up, etc. we also set temp alerts since I’m always worried about her being too hot or too cold.. the picture quality is awesome and I can check in on her wherever I am. Now that I’m back at work I often look at the camera while she’s napping :) I will say we have another baby monitor we use for travel (infant optics) since the nanit isn’t easy to move around. The two monitor solution works well for us but it would be nice if we could find one that served all our needs. Overall, we love our nanit and it has made teaching our babe how to sleep independently that much easier!!! Worth the money.

This is hands down the best baby purchase I have made! I cannot say enough about this system. I live in NYC and the temperature and humidity sensors are spot on in the winter. I have twin boys and it’s truly a remarkable system. They have recently overhauled the system and added viewing modes for “team members” for me those consist of grandparents out of town, the nanny, aunts and uncles that want to see our kids on demand while they sleep. I might be bias but they are the cutest babies I have ever seen sleeping :) I am about to buy a third camera for their play area. I also travel with these cameras as well when we go away. The support staff is top notch, I had a couple issues with the system and their customer service team didn’t give up
until my problem was fixed.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
