What's New

Version 5.0.4

Chimani apps/guides consolidation and lots of bugs fixes!

+ We have heard you loud and clear! We have addressed a number of bugs (i.e. check-in problems).
+ However, we are still working on a manual process for synchronizing very large check-ins histories (they are not lost!)
+ We are starting to consolidate all our apps/guides into this app (a.k.a "one app to rule them all" for you fellow J.R.R. Token fans).
+ With this version, you can download the Acadia National Park guide directly from the app and no longer have to install a separate app! And yes, your check-in activity is synchronized across the guides!
+ We will be releasing all 63 park guides shortly, but please give it a try and let us know your thoughts!

If you like this release, we'd appreciate some love with a positive review (it's been a rough few months as you can see from the ratings). If you still run into problems/crashes, please email us at We want to get any concerns/bugs into the pipeline for our next releases.

Last week we visited the birthplace of Teddy Roosevelt so it's only fitting to end with this quote by him: Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

Happy exploring.

Nice but hard to search

I've been using this app during my current visit to a NP. The idea behind it is nice, and the information is useful (not always up-to-date but all right in 90% of cases).

The issue the could be addressed in future versions refers to the individual park apps and interaction with the main app: namely none. If I have a verified visit to an attraction in a park, shouldn't I get automatically a verified visit to the park as a whole?

Overall nice!

What happened?

A little confused here. So you tell me you’re moving “all content and functionality” to this App and will no longer be updating the stand alone Apps. Yet, there is no content or functionality to speak of in this app and it refers you to download the individual Apps that will “no longer be updated”. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Nor is it true. So where is all the information going to live? Where are all the details by park? Oh, and the “Perks” thing? Yeah, no.

Useful (and free!) app, especially for hiking

I have used this app successfully during visits to numerous national parks, and the information is usually accurate and helpful. I especially like the information about hiking and sites to visit. This app consolidates data from multiple different sources into one convenient place. Highly recommended.
