ncidApp is the first and only complete, stand-alone solution for using Network Caller ID (NCID) on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. NCID sends information about incoming (as well as outgoing) VoIP or land-line calls over a network so you can see who is calling even if your VoIP or land-line telephone is not nearby.

New numbers can be imported into the contacts list directly from the app. Unknown numbers can be searched with a search engine or a reverse number look-up. This app can also run for a short period of time in the background, and can display a notification with caller information (retrieved from the device's contacts list).

Please note that this app requires an NCID Server, which is an open-source software package available for numerous platforms. The server is built-in to some wireless routers, such as the Vodafone EasyBox. For more information, visit

Ratings and Reviews

I am using this ncid client with a ncid server on a Raspberry Pi. It works well on my ipad and tells me the information I want. It does not have the features of the ncid client I use on my PC such as the ability to add a caller to the blacklist. The display works very inefficiently on the ipad maybe because it is designed for a cell phone. The picture is a waste if space and I would rather have the number of the caller instead. I would like have options to reduce the font size, show the calling number on the front page, and add a number to the black list.

It's not working

You guys should either fix it or give me a refund

Developer Response

Please let me know the exact problem you were having (although I believe you received a refund from Apple in the meantime?).
