SECURITY:
Your credentials and data are secured and never leave your devices - AES encryption. For additional protection, the bluetooth communication channel is internally encrypted.
REQUIREMENTS:
Near Lock requires a Mac that is running Mavericks or later. Your Mac also needs to support the latest Bluetooth LE technology.

Great app until the update
I have come to depend on this app to keep my computers secure, but it stopped working correctly when I updated both the app and the client on the Mac. Now I have to unlock the phone and switch to the app before it will unlock the computer. I paid the fine to upgrade to pro so I wouldn't have to do that, but after the update it's as though it doesn't know I purchased the upgrade. EDIT I had to remove and reinstall the app to make it work again. It works now.
Log in to you phone instead of your Mac.
I want to LOVE this app. I really do. When it works it spot on. Unfortunately, if you've been away from your Mac long enough for your iPhone to move Near Lock to a standby condition (i.e. not actively pinging for your Mac) then you'r need to log into your iPhone and start Near Lock for it to work. It's honestly faster to just log into you Mac normally at that point.
Pretty Cool
This app works as advertised and has great functionality even without buying the pro version. I haven't been using it that long but I still have yet to find a bug that deters me from using this app further in the future.
