I put a test password in and switch to another app but it does not close unless you close out the app completely!
What if I leave my phone with out my password set. Then anyone can get my passwords. Not cool!
Secure and no charge
🔲This app is built for security. It does not communicate to internet. AirGaps always create the best security in computers.
🔳This offers great security. Just, if I lose my phone, I need backups, I generally stick away from putting passwords in the cloud.
Just is their a way to backup my passwords, securely, maybe there is one that I don't notice? The whole reason I picked this app because it is free(no in app purchases), and does not throw my passwords into a giant vulnerable cloud. Yet, that can have drawbacks.
Below is a few briefly thought of ideas, that may or may not be feasible.
🔶Can you back it up by creating a QR code, but put the passwords in the code. Then I can put that code somewhere safe. This has a risk of compromise.
🔶Can you copy everything to the clipboard to manually place it in a secure backup area, without exposing app.
🔶Is their a secure way to put it in Apple Keychain, in cloud? By the way, that whole Apple Keychain can be explained a bit better. I got a slight idea, yet I am a bit unfamiliar. It is OK to place in the cloud as long as the cloud can't break into the content.
Yet, the applying backup risk
🔶♦️Putting it safe is one thing, but backups bring the question, how do I bring something from a less safe environment to a area of higher security.
🔶♦️Also, creating a door of transfers at all can be concerning. Example: ignoring the strength of the door, a medieval castle with not door can't be broken into.
♥️🔔🔊🚨Heart of my question, I want a local password manager that does not communicate to the internet, creating a attack vector.
Yet, I want the protection of losing my data, like I lost or broke my phone.
🔶♦️What if someone modified my backup to have malicious code. Is their a way an attacker could apply a malicious backup that contains an exploit, Trojan Horse like thing.
Remember, you can't turn over the data you do not have. Keep the data away from yourself, like it is a toxic asset. That is one of the main reasons I chose this app over others.
🔳User Interface, the security is good enough for me to ignore the still good enough UI.
🔘Stronger personal Priority: I would like to organize my passwords in folders.
🔘Low priority: The scroll for pictures is not enjoyable, yet not all to bad, could I just find a relevant emoji? I would get more choices. The keyboard emojis are already built in, could they be utilized?
🔘Medium Priority, without breaking app security, could I set up time based reminders to change certain passwords once every(3,6,9,12,24) Months?
I don't usually write reviews, nonetheless It is free, with yet no ads so I really shouldn't complain. However the reset password doesn't seem to work. I Tried resetting my master password luckily the old password stayed in tack but new one didn't take. Anyway awesome program, exactly what I was looking for in a offline password program. It would be cool if you could add some yahoo and amazon icons.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
